Middle Pillar of the Soul

Here is a ritual that I have used a variation of for years and it has preformed beyond my expectations. In fact using an earlier version of this rite lead me to my first contact with the HGA. I still perform this ritual daily as an invocation and to further break down internal and spiritual barriers within. On the surface it just appears to be a variation of the middle pillar ritual but it is far more than that. The first few times you use it may be nice although nothing special, but know that using this rite is like a bomb going off under the deep ocean. The shock wave may take time but it is coming to the surface.

Middle Pillar of the Soul
Assume asana or comfortable posture. A banishing before hand may be found helpful.

1. Concentrate your full attention upon your Kether center above the head. Formulate it to the utmost of your ability, feeling it is more important than visualizing it. Know that it is your divine self, your yechidah. Feel it swell encompassing your chiah and neshamah, becoming the greater neshamah. Know that it is your higher self, even your own holy guardian angel. With your complete concentration solely only upon this sphere aspire to the light. Feel it radiate. After a period of time vibrate the name of your holy guardian angel or if you do not know it yet vibrate Eheieh. If you wish you may converse with your HGA at this point.

Note: There should be little to no audible vibration. Rather concentrate upon the sphere itself and feel and hear it vibrate, the sound should issue from it rather than from your voice.

2. Now feel a stream of energy and light come down to your Da'ath center at the throat, connecting it and Kether. Formulate the sphere to the utmost of your ability, feeling it is more important than visualizing it. Know that it is a link between your HGA and your own conscious mind. Realize that it is not an impossible barrier but rather a door that can be opened at will. Contemplate this and with your attention fixed solely upon this sphere recite a short invocation. I prefer the Portal Invocation, but another suitable one may also be used such as the bornless one.

Note: Portal Invocation: "Ol Sonuf Va-orsagi Goho IADA Balata. Elexarpeh Comananu Tabitom. Zodakara, Eka Zodakare Od Zodameranu. Odo Kikle Qaa Piape Piamoel Od Vaoan."

3. Now feel the stream of energy and light come down to your Tiphareth center at the breast, connecting it with the previous spheres. Formulate the sphere to the utmost of your ability, feeling it is more important than visualizing it. Know that it is your ruach, your conscious mind in complete balance and harmony. Feel it radiate. After a period of time vibrate the name of your own soul or if you do not know it yet vibrate YHVH Eloah Va-Daath or IAO. If you wish you may converse with your personal ego at this point, explaining to it that it is not alone, that it is not the self but rather only a part of the self.

4. Now feel the stream of energy and light come down to your Yesod center at the groin, connecting it with the previous spheres. Formulate the sphere to the utmost of your ability, feeling it is more important than visualizing it. Know that it is your nephesh, your unconscious mind and animal soul, even your lower self. Feel it radiate. After a period of time vibrate the name of your lower self or if you do not know it yet vibrate Shaddi El Chai. If you wish you may converse with your lower self at this point, explaining to it that you love him, that you embrace him. That you understand and appreciate the job that he accomplishes for you. Further explain that in the past he worked alone for your protection but now it is time to work together with you for the greater good of the whole self. That you are now ready to accept his burden.

Note: If the lower self resists, with the full authority of the HGA repeat the phrase "Be still and know that I am God", it will calm him.

5. Finally feel the stream of energy and light come down to your Malkuth center at the feet, connecting it with the previous spheres. Formulate the sphere to the utmost of your ability, feeling it is more important than visualizing it. Know that it is your g'uph, your own physical body. Feel it radiate. After a period of time vibrate your magical motto, name, or if you wish Adoni Ha Aretz. As this sphere radiates feel the energy infusing your body adding vitality and health.

6. Return your attention back to kether. Again formulate it and see it radiating power and light. Feel its influence and power coming down forming a solid column of light, feel it pass unimpeded through Da'ath on down to Tiphareth. Feel this power infusing into it and that your conscious mind joins with this light of the holy guardian angel and becomes one. Continue this column down to Yesod and feel your lower self also merging with the conscious mind and the HGA. Continue to bring this column of light down further to Malkuth, fully joining all the self with the physical body. Contemplate this column of light and energy joining all the parts of the soul, know that along it is a free flow of knowledge, dialogue, and assistance between all the selves. After a period of time vibrate Achad, and know that the many become one. Rest in this for as long as you wish.

Interesting variation, which really does take the MPR to a whole new level. The Parts of the Soul seem to be rarely dealt with in an active fashion, so I'm quite impressed with this rite. I may give it a go and see how it turns out. I'll keep you posted, Brother :)

Willis - this is a fascinating and beautiful ritual. Did you formulate this yourself?

Yes I did, a number of years ago. Although the original was a lot rougher and incorporated a invocation at each step adapted from the neophyte ritual and the bornless one. I still have a copy of the original which follows the Z formula if anyone wants me to publish it too.
